Only for the knob display. It already works as shipped —
update it only if our support team asks you to. The version it is on is shown on the
display itself once it is in update mode.
Update both together. Display v4.0.0 goes with
controller v4.0.0. The two exchange a status message that
changed after the version this site used to carry, so flash the pair, not just one.
The display updates through its own screen — the app is not
used for this.
- Download the file above on your phone.
- On the display, open the settings and choose UPDATE MODE.
- It restarts and shows a Wi-Fi name and password on screen:
StairDisplay / stair1234.
- Join that Wi-Fi from your phone. The upload page usually opens by itself — if it
does not, open http://192.168.4.1 in your browser.
- Choose the downloaded .bin file and upload it, then let the display restart.
Keep the display powered until it restarts on its own.
The display also shows http://display.local on screen. That works on an iPhone or a
computer, but Android cannot resolve .local addresses — on an Android phone use
192.168.4.1 instead.
